Forum Disappearance
almost 7 years ago – Tue, Jul 11, 2017 at 07:37:19 PM

With the public playtest over, I will admit I have not checked the Drop Dead Studios forum as often as we've tried to get the rest of the book ready for publication. I have just found out that sometime a few days ago, the forum disappeared. I've tried to contact the support page for those who created the plugin, but their own site appears to be unreachable.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the forum disappearance was an accident and not on purpose. If you have posted feedback on the forum since the public playtest ended, I apologize but your feedback was probably not seen, and with contact cut off to the developers of the plug-in, I don't know if or when the forum will return.

End of the Playtest
almost 7 years ago – Sun, Jul 02, 2017 at 12:25:02 AM

As of now, the public playtest is officially over. We wanted to thank everyone who's helped us and given us their feedback.

There are still things to write, but with the main bulk finished, it shouldn't be long before the rest falls into place.

Thank you all,

Adam

The End of the Playtest
almost 7 years ago – Sun, Jun 18, 2017 at 11:24:53 PM

The open playtest will end the last day of June, at that point I believe we will be able to move the text into layout. If you have been holding off participating or have feedback on the mechanics you have been meaning to share, now is the time.

Paizo Con and Playtest Changes
almost 7 years ago – Fri, May 26, 2017 at 06:42:11 PM

Some of you have already heard this, but we are planning a massive update to the playtest documents, to come online Monday or Tuesday. Among other things including some expanded content, the update will make two major changes to the rules:

  • First, the removal of dedications. They've actually become less important as the mechanics have evolved, and removing them opens up a bit more customization.
  • Second, the expansion of the battered condition. Currently the sole property of the berzerker sphere, battered condition inflicted by the berzerker sphere is seeing its usability expanded, and can now be inflicted by other spheres, and has become a much more potent martial tactic.

We're excited to see how these changes (among the other, smaller ones) will affect play. We'll announce them when they go live, but since Paizo Con is this weekend, we'll be waiting until that's over before posting changes.

If you'll be at Paizo Con this weekend, we'll be tending a booth and talking to whoever passes by, so come say hi.
