Commander Pledge Level
over 7 years ago – Fri, Jan 20, 2017 at 08:33:37 PM

Do to popular demand, we've increased the number of available 'Commander' pledges from 5 to 10. This is the pledge level that lets you create an NPC for the book, complete with artwork. There's no way on earth we'd be able to fit in anymore though, so if it's something you were hoping to do, now's the time to grab it!

This preview contains most of the previous material, as well as three new spheres and two new classes! We encourage sharing and comments, so please let us know what you think!

The (Name Pending) Big Book of Gish Archetypes
over 7 years ago – Mon, Jan 16, 2017 at 11:32:27 AM

Last night, we broke the $15,000 level, which means Spheres of Might will now be one chapter bigger: a chapter dedicated to expanded archetypes support, both for the new SoM classes as well as helping core classes make the most of the new system, for those who don't want to just buy in with feats. In addition, the clear winner of the informal poll was a book of archetypes, which has been added to the list of stretch goals at the $26,000 level!

Because I want to keep Spheres of Might as one-book-friendly as possible, All our ideas for mixing Spheres of Might and Spheres of Power will be moved to this other book, which will be available as a $5 PDF or a $20 print handbook. The archetypes haven't been written yet obviously, but if our designer discussion was anything to go off of, there are a lot of ideas for mixing magic into SoM or martial powers into SoP floating around everyone's heads, which will make writing this particular handbook quite a fun endeavor.

Spheres of Might Ask Me Anything

While we try our best to keep up with comments and conversations both here and on various forums, the unfortunate truth is that its hard for us to keep up with people's questions without spending more time looking than working on the book. As such, we've decided to host a Reddit AMA this Wednesday, starting at 1 pm Seattle time and going for a couple hours. We'll post again right before going live, so feel free to come by and ask us whatever questions you have about the system!

More Monster or Cross-System Archetypes?
over 7 years ago – Thu, Jan 12, 2017 at 01:22:51 PM

In all the various communities talking about Spheres of Might that we are aware of, there have been two suggestions that have cropped up most frequently for extra supporting books people are interested in.

1. A short book of SoM monsters, similar to Fantastical Creatures and How to Survive Them: A Student's Guide for Adventure and Study.

2. A short book of cross-product archetypes for using both Spheres of Power and Spheres of Might on the same character.

Which would you prefer? While I'd love to hope this kickstarter will fund enough to do both, if we only had the chance to do one, which one should it be?
